Eliot had caught the shock and horror that flashed across Nate's face before he was able to hide it. He arched a brow. "What was that look for?" he asked.
"April did it all, not that there was much to do. She's upstairs taking a bath. Sore back." Eliot dried another dish, watching Nate. "We saved some food for you, in case you didn't eat. We thought you might have gone to the mess hall but weren't sure."
Eliot didn't know what Nate had been doing all day, but he seemed less wrung-out than April and himself. Eliot was also checking through the walls out front and back constantly, which didn't help.
