Re: Neal/Peter
Neal was better at all of this than he gave himself credit for, but then it had been the same way at home. Neal still saw himself as the con and not as a member of the FBI team, though after everything they'd been through to this point Peter thought that went without saying. He'd find a way to make it work here, just like he had at home - and Peter would still be there offering support when he could and keeping Neal in line occasionally.
Peter rolled his eyes. "Believe me I am well aware of just how far from restricting that two mile radius was for you." Not to mention the leeway they gave Neal when he came over to the Burke house and even occasionally let him off the leash entirely. Peter heard about it often enough, but he'd put a lot of faith in Neal and his ability to follow the rules. And he just hoped Neal wasn't going to prove him wrong about that one of these days.
"Mingle a little before you make your escape all right?" Peter implored, even if Neal only took the time to talk with Brian it'd be better than simply standing around at the bar all night looking like he'd rather be anywhere else.
