"Okay," Neal was reassured that Peter didn't expect him to change completely. Peter trusted people - or trusted them not to get in the way - but Neal had usually only felt the bad side of the law and it didn't make him trust people in places of authority. He was also so used to running cons, especially solo or with a small team like Mozzie, that telling people everything didn't come at all naturally.
"You know, that leash of yours wasn't all that restricting. Yes, it meant I had to be careful about where I was going but," He grinned. "The size of my 'allowed' area was pretty generous."
