"This is pretty pathetic," she said, making a face. "How can you have seen worse? I thought LA had great clubs." It was hard to imagine a place worse than this even in Memphis. "I'd like to come back on a normal night, see if he can really pull it off and have a good party."
Savannah tightened his hold on him, returning the kiss gently. "I'm not changing into a man, so you don't have to worry about that." She nodded. "That sounds like a great a idea. I'd rather dance with you anyway."
She rested her head against his chest, sighing. She didn't like feeling like this. It reminded her of her first days here, and she had hated feeling so alone. There was no reason to feel like that now. She had Marty, and even G and Sam in a different way, but it still felt like something was missing. "I thought I was over it. I was getting used to this, doing the work and the training. It's supposed to get better, not worse. I don't know what's wrong with me."
