He chuckled, it was good though - having her here, for all that it had rocked the boat that first night, and likely would continue to do so for the near future, Marty had missed Kensi, and that connection they'd been forming as partners. "Well if I'd known you had yet to break out the big guns I definitely would have stuck around longer."
"As much as anyone can." He shrugged, it sounded like one of those questions Sam or Callen might have asked him and he'd give a bullshit answer and then they'd press if it was important. "It does - I mean, we're in New York, and it's not even the right one and there's too much fucking snow and there are all these civilians to deal with now and - it's a lot to take in."
"Please, you think I need help with my uniform? I keep that thing in pristine condition thank you very much." He scoffed when she teased him. "It's kind of complicated actually. She needed a friend, and I needed someone to talk to." He shrugged, it was a pared down version of the truth, but for the moment that's what he had for Kensi.
