It wasn't hard to guess what was on his mind just by looking at him with his smile like that when he entered the room, and April had a hard time not bursting with the news. Yes, she knew it was early and that she might be wrong, but their machine was new and good and she truly believed she had the right result (not that she wouldn't check again in a few weeks just to be sure).
She shook her head when he asked her if she was hurt, knowing the happiness in her voice would give her away in an instant. When he got it however, she couldn't keep the laughter in any longer. "I take it that means you're happy?" she half laughed, pulling him in for another kiss.
"We're having a girl," she said softly, just to hear herself say it out loud.
