RP: Eliot/Open
Who: Eliot/open (add tags)
When: Thursday, August 30, 2012
Where: Training
Summary: It's Eliot's training day and he's observing.

It was Thursday, and that meant Eliot was with the teams. On any given week, Eliot altered between hating and being good with the day he had to spend with them. These days reminded him that he had a disability. One he could work around, but not to the satisfaction of others. Some days, not to the satisfaction of himself, either.

He participated fully, except for the driving portion when he only listened with half an ear and spent most of the time staring at the abstract landscape that had become how he viewed life. He'd always been observant - it was necessary in his various lines of work - but he spent more time now observing tics and voices since he could no longer see the things that let him identify a person with a glance.

The new additions, Travis Marks and Claudia Donovan, were his current primary focus. Marks was a cop, with the physical stance and movements of one. His speech was more relaxed but held a thread of confidence that came with experience. He seemed to be taking to the training like a duck to water, with his only trouble being the more intense physicality of it.

Donovan, on the other hand, was not a Secret Service agent. She was young, fit, and someone had given her some hand to hand training, but otherwise she hadn't come up through the ranks. He didn't doubt her when she said that she worked for the Secret Service, but it was probably as an adjunct, like working in the cafeteria, an intern, or as a tour guide. She went at everything with a gusto but absolutely no experience and a lot of talking. She was also unbelievably terrible at undercover work. Parker had been bad at first, but she had been at Sophie's level compared to Donovan.

Eliot tended to stay silent during training days, unless communication was needed. He participated, did as told, and watched.
