It was all very nicely explained, and instinct did tell him that it was true, or at least part of it had to be true, but Travis hadn't survived by trusting everyone who said something reasonable. Hell, he wasn't one to go with logic if only to see how Wes would start to twitch, but this wasn't Wes, and the stakes were much higher.
"I don't need protection or training, unless you mean that-" He waved in Sam's direction. "Because I won't need you to break me out once I know how it works."
No, he didn't need any of that, but he needed a way home, and he wasn't a scientist, or anywhere close to it. "What are the rules? And you can keep it brief if you want."
