Savannah shivered at the thought of killing a pig, or any animal. It was bad enough doing it with a rifle at a distance. "You killed Babe. You're horrible," she said, but she was chuckling.
"I was resting. Five hours versus, a good fifteen, granted, we stop for dinner and studying," she said. "I have no choice, April. They are all trained, and I need to be as good as possible, because I don't want them to be hurt trying to protect me, and I have to be able to protect them as well. So I train as much as possible." She patted April's arm. "They'll be fine. I know." She lowered her voice as she spoke, and kept her hand over her mouth as they walked. "I don't need the x ray. In fact, they've been fine for a few days, but G wants confirmation. Every time I changed, they felt better. I've had injuries in the past, I know how long things are supposed to last and how much pain you can be in. Less than a week, and I was fine. I don't know how or why, but I think when I change my body readjusts itself."
