"I can take him out when the cleaning service comes," he said, laughing. "It's a better solution than waiting for him to relax, because it's never going to happen."
Robert shook his head. "That's not what I meant, Mike. She's yours and I will take care of her. For a day, a year, forever, if that's what you want. I'd never let someone else take her. I'm also a realist. If shit goes down when we're out, I'm more likely to be there."
He sighed. "I might not want to be a father, but I also don't trust that many people, not with Liam and not with your daughter. Of course I'll do it. You still need to pick someone else, though, because more times than not that person or people will be the one taking care of her when we're out. That means anyone on your team is out too, at least for temporary care."
