They'd had this conversation since they got back, and for every failed time, April knew her time was running out. Sooner or later, the Director would be informed and when that happened Abby would be forced to take those tests whether she wanted to or not.
"You saw, you spoke to, a dead person," she said. "Even you who believe in spirits must understand why that seems odd. None of us saw or heard him. The dogs didn't react to him. You admitted to not having slept much and I know you've been under a lot of stress since we came here. It's a logical conclusion that what you are convinced is a spirit is a hallucination, which could be the product of a long list of medical issues, ranging from sleep deprivation and stress to brain tumors. I just want to rule those things out."
She paused for a moment. "If you're fine then nothing will show up on your tests and you can tell me and anyone else that we were wrong," she said.
"I'm your friend, or I hope I'm becoming your friend at least, and I'm worried about you. Please, just agree to the testing."
