Taking a breath, G thought about the next question. If there was a real threat, Vance needed to know. But, if Abby was seeing things because of sleep deprivation, they could just let her get some rest and things would go away. "If it can be determined for certain it was all in her mind and a little sleep will fix it, no. If she resists treatment and this continues, then yes. Or, if it can be determined outside forces were at play, then yes. See if you can get her in for testing when we get back. Then we can decide how to approach the Director with it."
He couldn't wait long. Vance would have to know if Abby's judgement was impaired, or if they were being watched and toyed with by someone with a power. But, if he could get Abby tested before they went to the Director, it would make whatever case they presented stronger, insanity or outside force.
"We can try. I admit, my way of dealing with things is usually pretty straight forward. I put myself in front of it until I beat it through sheer stubbornness. I know there are possibly better methods from a psychology standpoint, but I'm not that patient. But, let's try you on the rifles this week at the range. See if this holds out when you're actually firing one. There may be something there we can use to break the fear the pistols create."
