RP: Abby, G, Sam, April, Savannah and Marty
Who: Abby Sciuto, G Callen, Sam Hanna, April Kepner, Savannah Monroe, and Marty Deeks
When: Early hours of February 13, 2011
Where: Cabin 1, Bear Mountain
Summary: Abby's power begins to surface
She couldn't sleep, which wasn't all that unusual for Abby. Often Abby was up at all hours of the day and she worked when she could or played computer games or watched the National Geographic Channel or something. However, she had none of that here. Well, she had her computer, but no games.
Knowing that she'd likely wake April up if she turned on her laptop in the room, she quietly tiptoed out into the large common area. Her flannel nightgown kept her fairly warm, but Abby was forced to pull on a pair of socks to keep her toes from freezing. Once she was settled on one of the couches, she turned the laptop on. Maybe I can get the interweb if I hijack the wireless signal from my phone...
As Abby waited for the computer to run though its opening process, she adjusted herself when she heard it. "Help me. Please help me." Her head jerked up and she looked all around her, but saw nothing but the dark room. Knowing she could easily wake up the whole house by talking too loudly, she did a very slow scan of the room before returning her attention back to the computer.
After typing in her password, Abby connected the flashdrive to her computer. Since it was a government funded project, knowing the proponents may help narrow the field of research. Find out what science funded bills these people have their names on. While they may have had no idea about the study, it was worth exploring. Just as she set to copy the files to the hard drive, she heard the voice again. "Help me. Please you have to help me."
This time when she jerked her head up, there was a man standing outside the window. Based on the clothing, it looked like the same man from that morning. Don't panic and don't make any sudden moments. "All right. What do you need?" she asked, barely above a whisper.
"You must come with me."
No; I think that would be bad. "Why?" she asked, slowly placing the laptop on the floor. While she didn't see a weapon, she didn't want to spook him into pulling one out either.
"Please," he begged. "I need your help."
Abby wasn't sure what to do. Of course, she wanted to help him, but leaving the cabin without telling anyone would certainly get her sent to an undisclosed prison cell. "Let me get my coat," she said instead as she stood and slowly backed out of the room. As soon as she turned the corner she raced to G and Sam's room and knocked on the door.
"I'm sorry to wake you, but there's a man outside who says he needs help."
