Subject: Father's Day/Anniversary Party
So, it hit me while prepping the music for the wedding tomorrow that we have a wedding anniversary coming up on the 19th. Knowing Dad and G, they'll either forget or ignore it. Now, as it's a Tuesday, anything we do that day will have to be short to fit into their schedule. Either lunch or dinner, really. I was thinking the three of us 'kids' could maybe go in on a gift of some kind together. Maybe instead of a big meal/party something simple to their tastes and a toast?
Also, Father's Day is the Sunday before. I know it's also Brian's birthday the same day and John's planning a party. But, he's going to throw the actual party on the 16th so the celebration can go late without interfering with work. So, that leaves us with no real conflicts and I was thinking it might be nice if the kids and spouses of the five fathers in this family put together a special dinner for them, doing all the work so they can enjoy the day, play with the babies, have a beer in Dad and G's case. That pretty much means the four of us and is another reason why I was thinking something simple for the anniversary.
Anyone with me?
Sean
