She watched her, but didn't interrupt her thinking, waiting in silence until she went on. "I can teach you to dress to withstand the cold," she said with a shrug. "I'm from Ohio, and lived in Seattle, I'm used to it."
She smiled. "That would be great," she said honestly. "Talk to Mikey, he said something about not arousing suspicion and that he wouldn't have removed bugs even if he had found them. Perhaps something that can be turned off and turned on when we need it? Or something that covers a particular room in the house?" she shrugged. "I'm sure you and Mikey can work something out together."
That wasn't what she wanted to talk about most though, and since she didn't know much about scramblers she let the matter fall for now. She stayed silent for a moment, then said as she looked out over the base. "Tell me about him." She turned her head, watching Abby. "It's obvious that he was more than just a boss." She wondered if Abby might had have a relationship with him, that would explain the informality.
