"Actually, Gibbs just shows up when I find something and his expectational karma always makes the boys work better and they usually pump something else out for him too," she said. "Time is not on our side here; we are losing evidence as we speak."
Of course, Abby understood April's hesitation and she did agree they needed to tell at least Vance and go from there. Given her feelings toward G and Sam at the moment, she really didn't want to speak to them unless she absolutely had too. Plus, wanted to be ready to leave the base as soon as they could.
"To answer your questions, yes we need to let someone know. I'll go make a copy of the police report to add to the file then swing by Vance's office because he's probably still there. Once Vance knows, he'll have Hetty work out the car/armed escort thing. That seems to be her area, I think.
"And you're right I'm not a field agent and nor do I plan on being one, but if we have everything ready for those who are going out into the field, we won't waste any time having to gather a kit for them, since we'll have one ready before going to the Director's office."
This so so worthy of a Caf-Pow! she thought, her mind already processing the information April just gave as well as making a list of things to add to the evidence kit she began working on the other day.
"If the body wasn't moved then someone should have gone to the place where the body was found; there could be more evidence there," Abby said. "Still, his home could tell us a lot about him and his life, which could lead us to the Heart Attack Killer Person."
Again, she turned to leave. "Let me print the report and you can make some phone calls. Have them meet at the Director's office."
