From: Callen, G To: undisclosed-recipients Subject: Training Changes Attachments: New Training
We're going to be stepping up the level of training again. Attached is a new schedule. This new schedule begins THURSDAY.
The important points to note:
Defense -- This is everything. No more PFT. Basic, standard, and advanced training classifications are gone. Everyone will be worked to their highest level, whatever that level may be. Sam will send a follow-up with more specific instructions. But, understand that EVERYONE is expected to be at this session. Field units, students, office staff, research staff, ranch staff, EVERYONE. If you have other things to be done during the day, do them around this time slot. Those not given medical clearance are the only exception.
Practical Skills -- The student group will continue to work with Spencer during this time. Field units will work with me. Office staff will only be required if the subject matter pertains to them as well.
Fieldwork -- No changes here. It'll run much like it has been.
Powers Training -- Everyone who can be here, should be here. Office staff, you'll see on the schedule you are to be present for the entire session once a week. This means working with us from 1400 to 1730 on that day.
Flight Training -- Bolton, you'll work with Rob on this from 1400 to 1530, then both of you will join the team for the rest of the afternoon.
Individual Training -- Everyone is required to spend one night a week working individually with each Lead and Second-in-Command, an hour each, at a level equal to their current skill level.
Evacuation Drills -- These will no longer be scheduled in advance, but will happen at the discretion of the leads. Everyone is required to be prepared for evacuation at all times, day or night.
Spencer, I know you have things you need to do around the ranch, but I want you to be at as much of training during the day as possible. If there's a major conflict, let me know.
April, the same for you. Other than when someone needs medical attention or appointments/check-ups, I want you training with the field units during the day.
