Robert and Troy
Leon was not one to share what didn't need to be shared, and while he was adamant that he would take a much more active role in leading this team, there were still duties that belonged to the leader, the man who could move things without anyone ever noticed. This was one of those things.
He waited for his first appointments to show up. "Gentlemen, have a seat," he started, although he knew this would be brief. 'We have found a plane that can accommodate all of us at more than a reasonable price. It's relatively old, but it was refurbished five years ago, passed all the tests. In fact, it's one of those whose specs you approved of, Colonel. The Jetstream. We were able to get it at a better price if we could close the deal quickly, which we will."
He opened his drawer and took out a manilla envelop; he took out the IDs. "Driver's license, social security numbers and pilot's license for both of view in different names. These are the two people you will be."
"Wasn't this plane in Florida?" Robert asked with a frown.
"That's right. Tallahassee, to be precise. You have a meeting tomorrow at 1030." He took out a business card from the envelop. "Name of the lawyer involved and place of the closing." He put everything back and handed it to Robert. "I want no record of your travels, nothing that could link these names to this ranch. You'll be teleporting there." He took another sheet of paper from the drawer. "Here we have divided your trip into two hundred miles stops. You can settle in any city for a little, eat, rest and move on. There are small cities, no cameras, but even if someone remembers you, they will have conflicting reports on where you were at any given time considering that you can teleport a lot faster than any car can go. Do you think it'll be a problem?"
Robert looked at the list, counting miles. Eight hops. The first two would be pretty instantaneous. The next would required a stop, even at two hours each, which he doubted he'd need, they'd be there in twelve hours. "No, it's fine."
"Good. Inside that envelop, there's also the reservation information for your hotel for tonight. You'll have a burned phone to call here on arrival and tomorrow before taking off. We will have an official flight plan, which we will change after you land here," he said. "Go home, get a bag for your trip. Colonel, prepare a bag for Liam and bring it to me. I will take care of it. Neither of you is to say anything to anyone about this." This time his eyes were on Troy.
"But Sir-"
"No, Mr. Bolton, not a word. It is for your safety. You will learn that sometimes secrecy is the only way to go, because people can't betray you if they don't know, and before you tell me how they wouldn't, every man and woman has a breaking point. The right drugs, the right torture will always get you information. Now, unless there's something else.'
"Actually, you called the rest about the house and I sort of wanted to be there, because we've discussed it and it won't be a problem-"
"Mr. Bolton, housing is not your problem. We can discuss it when you come back. Don't worry about that," Leon said.
Troy nodded. "Okay, can you just tell them to wait for me for that dinner? They'll understand."
