RP: Abby and anyone
Who: Abby Sciuto and anyone else around
When: January 29, 2010
Where: Kepner-Sciuto-Westen Front Yard
Summary: The snow inspires Abby to play

Her arms ached, probably from the layers upon layers of bruises from 'self-defense' class. It probably didn't help that she spent night after night on her computer, researching firewalls, viruses, encryption and a various other hacker terminology based on their current reality. If she was going to get them out of there, Abby needed to find a way to get passed the government to their secrets. Plus, she didn't Between classes, her research and the occasional visit to the morgue with April, she left very little for fun and play.

So, when she woke up later than 8 AM that morning with more snow falling, she decided on something fun. After downing her first Omega-Pow, Abby bundled up and headed outside. "We are making a snowman. Snow-woman. Snowperson. Snow skeleton!"

Weekends were not days for rest. If anything, she was putting just as much time into training, except that it was a different kind of training. She got up as usual and she was out with Nova, running. She spent almost an hour out when it began to snow. Again. Not that it matter. She could go back, get cleaned up, have breakfast and then go to the range.

She was walking past April's house when she saw Abby in the front yard, and from the look of it, she was playing with the snow. She couldn't help but grin at the sight.

Halting as she got there, she called for Nova and the dog began circling the area. "Morning," she said, smiling. "How are you?"

She began work on the base. Since she couldn't actually make snow bones, Abby began with a coffin like structure for the base. I can carve out bones from that, she thought when she heard someone. Glancing over her shoulder, she saw Savannah and waved.

"Hello!" she said before the dog came running over. "Hi, there, beautiful!" Crouching in the snow, Abby reached out to the dog and rubbed behind it's ears. The German Shepherd reminded her of Jethro and soon she was wondering if he was missing her the way she missed him.

"What a good girl, you are," she cooed before giving the dog a hug. "What are you up to?"

Savannah kept an eye on Nova, who barked the moment Abby's arms went around her. She waited until Abby let go of the dog to avoid any accidents that included bites to clap on her leg and the dog came right now. "You might not want to do that. G is training them not to be too ... friendly with people."

She petted Nova, who sat at her side. "We just went for our morning run, and now, she's going back home so I can go to the range." She looked at the yard. "I don't have to ask what you're doing," she said, chuckling. "I don't know how you have the time, but it looks like fun."

When the dog barked, Abby just gave her another pat on the side while whispering that Nova was a good girl. "There is no reason why you couldn't have a vicious attack dog who enjoys affection at the same time," she said, shaking her head. "Dogs who nervous around people do not make good police dogs. Besides, I don't think G plans on them attacking the good guys."

She actually frowned at the idea of the dog going back to the house where no one would be giving it the proper attention and affection. "She must hate being cooped up in the house all day," she said. Of course, it was on the tip of her tongue to ask if Nova could stay with her, but from the way Savannah followed direction from class, she knew it was a fruitless effort.

"It is fun," she replied with a smile. "I'm sure one hour on a Saturday morning won't put you too far behind on your weapons training. Even if you based basic with G last week, you would only logically be able to have 31 hours toward your 150 and that includes an 8 hour day on Saturday and Sunday, it would still be 4 more weeks before you could test and that would put you passed the 3rd weekend deadline and you'd still have one more week to make up that one hour."

Savannah looked at her with a frown. "They aren't vicious dogs. They are very friendly dogs and they enjoy affection. From their owners and their family." There were plenty of them to care for them and Marty loved them, too, so she didn't see the problem. "We don't want them nervous, but we don't want them friendly with anyone who's around. I think G plans for them not to trust anyone buy family."

She didn't like what she was saying and only the fact that G consider her a friend made her choose her words with some care. "She's hardly cooped up. She runs and hour with me in the morning. She goes out at lunch and before dinner." Nova and Harley got plenty of exercise.

Savannah chuckled. "No, but I'm on a schedule. After that, G is taking me somewhere for more training, but I'm not planning to take that long for the certification. If everything goes according to plans, I'll have sixty hours by tomorrow and that means that I will only need five weeks tops to get that certification. "

Abby knew that German Shepherds were not vicious unless commanded. Since she didn't know the reason for the dogs other than possible protection, she really couldn't comment. "Oh, so G says I'm not to be trusted. Good to know."

Again, she felt that G and Sam's Kensi replacement missed the point. Going on a run, even for two hours a day, was not the same as playing with them out side. They were only outside for 3 of the 21 hours of the day, she thought to herself. I would call that cooped up.

"Then I won't keep you," she replied before turning her attention back to her snow coffin.

"Do you know him? If you know him, then you know then he only trusts one person," she said, even though it was so obvious that it was painful. "Everyone else could be compromised, and yes, that means even me, but he can't really tell me that my dog shouldn't listen to me. I'm sure he can come up with about a million scenarios why any one of us could be forced to use the dogs against him," she said with a shrug.

She nodded although from Abby's tone the only thing she could think was that G really had horrible taste when it came to women, first Hetty, now Abby. It couldn't be a coincidence. It was good that he was married to Sam or his relationships would suck. "Enjoy the snow," she said, waving, before walking toward the house.
