G took a moment to consider the idea. He trusted Renko and historically the man was almost as good as he was, though his judgement in asking Savannah the questions he had made G wonder. But, after thinking about it, he nodded. "As long as he's listening and reporting, he'll do the job. If he has to act on what he hears, objectivity may be contingent on the prognosis for his sight. But, basic surveillance should be fine."
And it would give Renko something to focus on other than being on med leave, which was always the biggest problem for guys like Renko or G or Sam. They didn't do well on the sidelines.
