Summary: It's another Sunday, another birthday and another family dinner

Dinner was a much quieter affair than usual, not that Savannah and Marty weren't doing their best to keep conversation going with Dom's help, but they needed to be quiet for Liam, and with Mike's blindness, they didn't want to assault his other senses. Also there was something going on with Sam and G, but Savannah didn't have to ask what the problem was there.

Liam woke up once during it, but Savannah let Robert enjoy dinner and prepared the formula for him and changed his diaper. All in all they made it through dinner without any problems, and then they were hanging around for cake and coffee (for those who could drink it) and then leave Robert for some peace and quiet.

There were certain balancing act that came with being lead G hated and almost all of them had to do with the politics involved in keeping a team like this together. The incident Thursday night was one such. Renko had been injured. Sam was pissed off. G didn't have the luxury of being pissed off, even if he'd like to be.

And he wasn't going to let Green's instability or Spencer's attitude cast a shadow over his brother's birthday.

Moving across the room from where he'd initially been standing watching the family, G went over to sit with his brother. The smile he gave Rob was tired, but a smile. "Happy Birthday, Little Brother. You make a wish before blowing out the candles?"

As he'd told Mike months ago, Robert didn't consider this his family, but G's, and yet, here they all were, celebrating his birthday, helping him in different ways. He didn't know what to make of it. He did know that he wanted to have a relationship with his brother, so this part was easier to accept.

Robert smiled back. "Why do you look like I do? I have a newborn with an increased metabolism, what's your excuse?" he asked, after making sure that people were talking to each other and not paying attention to them.

"I think I'll skip the wish just in case I jinx it," he said, chuckling. "And thank you."

	Sam was tired thanks to a six hour run and another few hours with the punching bag, all after a night at the club, but at least the fatigue took some of the edge off and he wasn't likely to snap at people, or at least some people. Jenna fell into the last category. He looked at her and attempted a smile. "Hey," he answered. "Everything good?" (Reply to this) (Parent) (Thread)

	Jenna nodded at the question. "It is," she said and today she felt more at ease with herself than she had in a while. Days without talking babies or things related to babies did that to her.
