RP: Sam and G
Who: Sam and G
Where: Their house
When: February 14, 2012
Summary: It's a special night

Sam remembered the last Valentine's Day. The only one excited about it had been Savannah, and that had led to a trip for G to buy condoms, arranging food and clothes for those two, and then spending a wonderful night with his partner, but as great as it had been, Sam wouldn't trade those early, possibly more exciting beginnings with what they had now.

They had always been comfortable with each other, but things were different now. There was little that they couldn't share, even if the sharing happened in the form of a joke or even an insult at times, or a simple nod. They certainly didn't need a Catholic holiday turned into a Hallmark one to celebrate what they had, but since he was helping others plan, and their schedule seemed to be shot because everyone had some kind of last minute planing to do, he decided to do something special.

He knew that others were going for more exotic foods, but Sam wet for a simple Filet Mignon Au Poivre. Instead of some deep red wine, he had G's gift sitting there. A basket of beers, some as common as a Bud and some extremely rare, and to top it all a beer bottle holster wrapped in some very pink paper, thanks to Savannah since he had forgotten the paper. "G, put away your computer and come open your gift, or eat first and gift later."

G was pretty sure it was firmly established that he managed to remember a rare few personal dates likes birthdays and holidays. Hell, the year before he'd even forgotten Sam's birthday. So, it really shouldn't have been any surprise to anyone that, having remembered that important date, he forgot Valentine's Day all together until Vance's email went out.

Not that G had all that many Valentine's Days in history that had been celebrated. And the year before he'd only remembered because Savannah had made him go shopping with her for her own preparations. Then there'd been a hotel and a vicious argument with Sam that resolved into some of the best sex in his life up to that point. So, okay, there was one very memorable Valentine's Day. But, he'd still forgotten.

And, he'd thought it would go by unremarked upon until Sam called to where G was sitting on the couch, still working for the day even though it was technically 'after hours'. "I'm beginning to think it's the gifts," he said with a sigh, shutting his computer down and setting it aside before he stood up to see what Sam had done. "If it involves 'stuff', it goes right out of my head. And, you got the paper from Savannah, didn't you? Because I know there's no way you voluntarily spent money on that, even to yank my chain."

He was more interested in the beer, though, and he didn't actually open the wrapped gift just yet. Instead, he inspected the bottle labels immediately noticing the rarer brews and grinning appreciatively.

Sam laughed. He hadn't expected anything different, which was perfect, because he wasn't disappointed. It'd be worse if he thought that G would remember something like Valentine's Day. "I think we do well enough with stuff. I don't know if you even looked at all the things inside your birthday basket," he said, chuckling.

He snorted. "I might remember holidays, but I'm still I guy. I forgot to buy the paper, and if I did remember, there's no way I'd ever buy that. So yes, great deductive skills, Special Agent Callen."

Sam hooked his fingers inside G's jeans and pulled him closer. Leaning down, he nipped G's lip, sucking on it, before kissing his lover thoroughly. "Happy something day, is that better?"

"Most of them. Eventually. Although," G added with a grin, "I can be excused as I was a little distracted by a killer teddy bear that night." One or two of those items might have found their way into his duffel bag rather than staying with the rest. He didn't have a tea box here to put the very few things he did hold onto.

"That and no one else but Savannah would consider that shade of pink for anything outside a disco club."

He was still grinning when Sam tugged him closer, returning the kiss with a brief hum of contentment. "A bit better, yes." G laughed. "However, the birthday gift I gave you comes in a variety of options. So, perhaps I'll just have to keep giving you variants of that anytime I forget the 'stuff'."

"I still haven't seen this teddy bear." Just then Sam knew that the next occasion, there would be a teddy bear. He'd just have to find a toy gun, mess the bear up to have a few scars and it'd be perfect.

He chuckled. "Do you think? Unfortunately there must be a lot of people who like that shade of pink, especially for Valentine's if they produce it.

Sam couldn't care less what they celebrate. It was just an excuse to show G how much he meant to him, and of course G was ahead of him with that thought and he started to laugh. "We're men of simple tastes. We'll run out of option unless we really get into kinks, not that I'm turning down the opportunity to have time with you." He kissed G again. "You're crazy, and I love you for it. Now, let's eat or that steak will be wasted. Filet Mignon, cognac sauce, beer for the uncultured, red wine for me. We're set."

"You haven't? Huh." G pretended to look thoughtful, keeping his smirk at bay. "That's odd. He's always around when I need him. Maybe he's just shy about other people seeing him."

What color pink was sold for Valentine's wrapping paper held absolutely no interest for him at the moment. But, spending time with Sam, kinks or no kinks, that had his undivided attention. Of course, G's undivided attention often meant trouble as much as his boredom did.

"I'm sure we can be creative enough to keep it interesting even without the kinks," he replied, letting that smirk out as he moved closer, not to the food but to his partner. Somewhere between Sam getting his power and life at the ranch, G had lost his need for Sam to always make the first move, the little game of 'will this be the time he leaves' that G had played from the moment he first kissed Sam in that stairwell more than a year ago. "For example, I know that steak isn't going to go to waste because I plan to savor it. Slowly. And enjoy a rare microbrew. And in between food and drink there will be teasing and flirting. So that, when we're done, you'll be ready to fuck me hard enough I feel you for days."

There were other words he should say, emotions that were strong and true, even if rarely voiced. But, as usual, they were tied up in the back of his throat and G let the kiss he gave Sam say them instead.

Sam was ready to tease G about needing someone, but the words got caught in his throat, and he let out a strangled laugh. "Yes, I can see how a killer bear would be shy. Maybe he's just so good at hiding that people won't see him unless he wants to be seen. I like that explanation better."

He smirked. "Even without the kinks? I guess we'll just have to prove you right, then." He put his hands on G's hips and held him close. "You push that much, I might just have to fuck you bent over this table." The way his cock twitched at the idea was more than enough to show that he really liked the prospect.

He bit G's lip and then kissed him hungrily. "Let's start this dinner. I'm eager for dessert."
