Re: Dom/Jenna
"I didn't say you have to call him anything but Robert," Dom said, laughing. "I don't think it would be conducive to secrecy, but that doesn't change the fact that the baby is your cousin."
He squeezed her hand. "It won't be that bad, Jenna. It's just baby stuff. You'll see."
"Do you know how people say that we only use 10% of our brain? Well, it's not technically true. We all use all 100%, but at different levels. Think of it as an mp3 player. You're always using 100% of it if it's on. However, if you have it on a low volume, it's not the same usage. The colors work to enable full usage. It's not putting pressure, it's just teaching him brain to work, just like listening to classical music or reading to it while in utero help the child's brain develop faster." Dom laughed. "It's not going to be stupid. Even if it doesn't have my IQ, he still won't be stupid. You're hardly stupid, and neither is anyone in your family. I'd say that genetically, he has a very good chance of being very smart."
He looked at her for a moment. "Do the spots bother you because of the baby or because of you? Because I've never known you to go for 'nice'. Nice is thematic nursery with matching things. Nice is cute animals and planes. Colors are fun and bright and unconventional."
