Re: Savannah/Jenna
"A pink gun?" Jenna asked, too surprised to stop herself. "They actually make those?" She could honestly say that had never been a though that had crossed her mind before.
She bit her tongue when Savannah said having babies was their job, because no matter what Savannah thought she didn't see this as her job. Something she had to go through to have children, but not something that could ever replace her job. With anyone else she would have assumed that wasn't what they meant, but with Savannah she had a strong suspicion that she did see the family as her career.
When she went on though, there was no way for Jenna to keep quiet, because she couldn't possibly have just said that. "Marty and my father pretended to-" She stopped herself. "Actually, never mind. That is something I don't want to know the answer to." Maybe that hadn't been the training she had in mind, but right now anything would be better than just sitting at home waiting for the baby to be born.
"So basically what you train at is taking on different roles so that you'll be better at living the cover when it's the real deal?" she said instead, focusing on the job part of this, and when put in her own words it sounded so much better than when Savannah said it. Actually it made a lot of sense. Seeing how they lived their covers here, the better they got the better things were.
