G raised an eyebrow. He'd much rather be hit by a friend than a stranger. The friend wouldn't be trying to kill him. "No, it's not the same," he agreed. "The stranger just wants to hurt you. A decent friend will go easy on you because they're afraid of hurting you. A good friend will kick your ass to the pavement until you can get back up and put him down a few times because he knows you don't get stronger by being coddled and babied and he wants you to be self-reliant for your own survival rather than dependent on others to save you."
His frown deepened. "You did read the email I sent out this week? Basic firearm safety and use is mandatory. If you can learn enough from Sam to protect yourself, you don't have to carry. But, everyone will learn how to protect themselves. It's irresponsible not to and I really expected more support and a better example from an NCIS member. If one of our own won't obey directives, why should any of the others?
"Do you want to stay in here for insubordination? Do you want to be able to leave the base at all? I need you to lead up my forensics team, Abby. But, I can't do that if you're in here and I can't let you out of here if you won't follow orders."
