Now that was just being lazy. "Why wouldn't you train because you had a child?" she asked. "The child needs training too. Obviously not as an infant, but certainly long before they're eighteen." Her son would know how to defend himself, she'd teach him everything she knew and make sure everyone else taught her what they knew too. "Did you know that in many historic cultures they started to train their young boys to be solders as young as four or five though seven was a more common age."
She laughed. "I meant that they're around the Marines, but they're not the only part of the Marines. There are people like me to in there. I'm not the only woman in the Marines, you know." She smiled, though what he said made her skin feel tighter. Not care about anything around you? To her that just sounded dangerous. "Sean does have a nice style," she agreed, and it was good that they agreed on something. It was also good that Sean had someone more like him around here. She had the feeling he needed people like that around.
