Savannah grinned. "Good answer." Football was always the answer as far as she was concerned.
She brought the food to the table, keeping Nova close, because she was a good dog, but even good dogs would eat meat that was left out there unguarded. "Come on, the Giants are playing. You know we need to know the score for Sam, and then the Steelers with the Broncos." She finished setting up the coffee table before sitting down.
"Okay, birthday boy, dig in. There's a cake for later, but it's safer on the counter until we're done." She leaned against Marty when he sat down. "Happy birthday, baby. It's been quite the year."
