"I suppose I'll have to make do," she answered. "If it helps I can make a list of the instruments I'll need and give to you by the end of the day," she said.
She was disappointed about the assistant, she had hoped that one of the students could be spared, but she had learned that arguing got her no where. She'd just have to drill them all the harder when she had them. Make sure that they could do everything she needed them to do. It wouldn't be perfect, but he had two months to get them good enough to handle a delivery.
"Rotation will do fine, Director," April answered. She could always hope for something more, but she wouldn't push her luck. "Thank you."
"There are also some books that I could use, well will need really in order to work efficiently," she added, taking out a list. "There are a couple for the deliveries and pediatric medicine, a few veterinary ones which I'll need to be able to treat the cattle and horses, and a couple on general medicine. I do realize our budget is tighter than it used to be, so I kept the list limited to the ones I truly need."
