Sean could only sit and stare into space as they drove. He'd seen things that morning he'd never thought to see in person, never wanted to see. He'd spent what felt like hours worried about his dad and Jen and the babies and it was hard to miss the two missing faces from those still traveling with them.
"Hm? Oh, yeah, sure." He pulled himself out of his head when Savannah sat next to him. Hard to come out of a gauntlet of burning buildings and flying debris without a few cuts and bruises. But, other than a nasty cut on his thigh that had already stopped bleeding, he didn't even notice most of them. "You good?"
