He smiled when he saw April come his way. "I thought you had abandoned me. How are you holding up?" he asked, because he might be the injured one, but he doubted that this attack had been easy on people's psyche.
"It's a pretty big cut, April," he said as she looked at his arm, "so it'll take time, but it can wait. If you have anything more urgent, go. I won't bleed out. Promise."
