Someone somewhere would tell them it wasn't normal or natural. But, it was natural for them. It was natural for G to move into position at the rear without a word. It was natural to catch the movement ahead and know it was Sam casting him one of those looks. It was natural, as the Director moved off with Sean, to move up and cover Sam, the rapport of their gun fire sounding synchronisticly as they drew the attention of the attackers in the area.
Something had gone wrong. But, they didn't know what and until they did, there was no time to worry about it. They'd deal with it when they came to it. As with everything else, G compartmentalized everything but the most immediate needs: take out the enemy, make sure their people got out.
Of course, that was also when he got an idea.
G signaled Sam to move away from the building and be ready to blow it. Then he moved out himself to draw the shooter's fire. If he could just get them close enough to the building...
