Re: Robert and G
"And, you like that," he said, knowing that he'd never get it. It was hard enough to care for his own child, let alone someone else's grown kids. "You two would have hated my type of arrangement," he said, chuckling. "I never had any intention of being faithful to whoever I was going to marry."
Robert sighed. "That's the difference, though. You were abandoned and wouldn't do that to someone else. I had a family and a pretty good life. I'm still not sure that bringing a child into this world is the right thing to do. So much can go wrong. He could end up with no parents despite everything. I would still go back to my plan if she agreed. But, that kid lost out, because you- you'd make a much better father than me. Hell, you'd make a great father, without the comparison."
He snorted. "No, he needs a muzzle and a brain. He lacks basic knowledge that an high school kid should have. He must have attended in some ghetto school," he said, rolling his eyes. "Besides, Mike can't do much at the moment. You still need to whisper around him, and he can cope if he focuses on someone, but I doubt that Green can offer the same type of... help."
