She saw the blush and felt a bit bad about being the one to cause it, his comment made her laugh a bit however. "That's a big ambition," she joked. "I've never met anyone quite so big or so strong as Sam before this."
She looked at him. "Am I being patronizing and embarrassing?" she asked, tilting her head as she looked at him. She didn't think of herself as old. In fact normally - or before she arrived here - she'd felt like a kid. She remembered what she'd told the gun man at the hospital. 'I haven’t done anything yet. I haven’t. I’ve barely lived. She thought back to how different things felt today. She hadn't really done so much more, but she didn't feel like a kid any more, and she could see why someone Nick's age would see her as old rather than young. Especially when she treated him like a younger brother.
"I can save the hugs for when there aren't people around if you prefer."
