"Yeah," she said, thinking of her life before this. Relationships had always taken a back seat to her career, to becoming the future of medicine. She smiled when he said he trusted his friends and leaned her head on his shoulder again. "You're a good friend."
She nodded at the question. "I guess. At least now I know, and obviously he didn't love me enough. If he had things would have been different." He would have been willing to fight for what they had, now he wasn't. She smiled a bit when he mentioned living with someone else. "Are you hoping we'll go on the run sooner rather than later?" she asked. "Because right now, I'm still living with him. I'm just in another room. I'm an adult I'm not going to make a fuss and ask people to move me somewhere else. They must have enough of a hard time figuring living arrangements out already."
