Re: April/Eliot
She clung to him as he comforted her, crying into his chest as the pain took hold. Her life felt like a huge mess. She'd been taken from her family, from her friends, her career and dreams and Mike had been a part of what made that tolerable. She'd had one thing here which she'd never had back home. Now she didn't have that and she felt empty and lost, because with that loss went too many things she didn't want to think about.
In spite of herself she smiled a bit at the question, it reminded her too much of Jackson and how he'd punched Alex. Still she shook her head. "No," she murmured. "But thanks for offering." Though as good as it felt to have him ask, she knew this wasn't Mike being mean or cruel. He just didn't think what they had was worth the risk of a child. He just didn't think she was worth the risk.
"It was the email," she then sobbed. "And the pregnancies. I asked how big house we should get and he-" her voice broke as she sobbed. "And he said he didn't want to risk me getting pregnant any longer."
