Savannah looked up at Sean. "Your mom must be a really special woman, because no way you've learned to be so sweet and talkative from your dad or your sister," she said, chuckling, "but it makes me feel better. You make me feel better." She raised her head and kissed his cheek. "You're a good man, a good brother and a good son. They are very lucky to have you."
She sighed. "There's a party out there and you're here talking about this with me in an empty room. We can talk some other day, if you don't mind, maybe you can point me somewhere that doesn't scar me and I'll work on that embarrassment." Or at least to stop feeling like she was going to go on fire if the lights were on. "Sounds good?"
