Re: Savannah/Sean
"You gotta give me time, that's all. You have the advantage of not knowing what it's like to live without him. It's not something a few months are going to erase." Chuckling, Sean nodded. Telling him he was making a mistake was likely to come with all the corrections that drove him nuts. But, that was Savannah he supposed. "Alright."
Sean shrugged. "Both the scientific description and the biblical one say the same thing, when you think about it. But, it doesn't have to be a chore. You're going to be having sex with Marty for a lot of years. You should enjoy it. It should be fun. Baptist or not." The look she gave him was priceless, but Sean only shook his head. "Is it? Sex is a sin when you're not married. But, now that you are it's a commandment to have sex in order to 'be fruitful and multiply'. If this makes it easier for you to do that, within the bounds of holy matrimony, is it really a sin? I heard an argument once that masturbation is a sin not because of the act, but because of the lustful thoughts that often accompany it. I believe the scripture was something about 'he that look upon a woman with a lustful eye has already committed adultery with her in his mind'? But, it's not adultery if you're thinking of the man you married before God, is it?"
