Eliot's lips quirked. He knew where he stood in most of these people's eyes: as an irritating, non-cooperative know-it-all. "It's not bad training for those who don't know enough about survival of this type. Better than learning it the hard way," he said. "Besides which, I've had to mostly start again with the loss of my normal sight, and while I could still hold my own in hand-to-hand or ranged, the rest I'm learning adaptions as I go."
