Re: Savannah/April
This was the great thing about dealing with April: she was always an optimist. If G or Sam had been the doctor, they would have given her a list of all the possible things that could go wrong even if there was a one in a million chance. "You make me feel better." And considering that they had no evidence one way or another, this was the best that any doctor could do.
Savannah smiled. "I'll like that, and you can get tired with us as well. We don't do the pool work anymore. I'm sure you're desolated that you won't get to collect knives under water, with your teeth with your wrists and ankles tied up. Maybe if you ask nicely, Sam will let you try anyway."
She knew that look, the one that said close but no cigar, she had it a lot when she used to think about nationals, but not anymore. "You'll save us. You'll save the lives of these children. You'll save the lives of other people with powers. Maybe it's not the entire world, but as a doctor, didn't you want to save lives? This is your chance to save the lives of every mutant. Like it or not, we are a new species and you are our only doctor. What you're doing is so much more than curing cancer."
Savannah chuckled. "It is. There was some discussion with Marty and we finally decided on Wonder Woman and Superman. And yes, no badges, unless you count the old sheriff one, and that's not the same."
