"I think this little meeting escalated our time table, so we need to give them something." Derek watched as Callen worked things out in his head. "Good, because it's the best I can come up with. Even with mine, I made sure that they know that I can't read minds, which I can't. Of course, the fact that they could have a surprise visit and I could see what they are doing will sooner or later become evident to a few of them, but we'll worry about that when it happens. I think the more open we are about it and the more approachable we are, and the easier it will be."
He chuckled. "I empathize, but I don't take my clothes off unless it's in private." Derek stared at G for a second, and shook his head. "Man, I do not want to be in your place if you have to do that now, and to be fair, no agency would ask that, because it's illegal." It was the one thing that he hated about Emily's story. There was a difference between being someone's type and becoming their lover. The last part was never approved by any given agency.
"All right, let's go back inside. I'll volunteer their powers, because we don't want Deeks saying too much, and maybe you can mention yours before we work on Brian." It was the best thing they had for now.
Derek opened the door to the pool, and let G walk in first. He kept his smile on his face. "Ladies and gentlemen, we have decided that there will be no nudity or costumes. It would defeat that secrecy thing Callen likes so much. However, we do mean complete disclosure, because we all need to know what the other can do. Tim is our resident Havoc. For those who don't know, he can transform pretty much anything into energy, and it hurts like hell if you get hit. Deeks is an empath, which means he knows your moods. We're both training very hard to make sure that we don't violate anyone's privacy. Please understand that we're learning how to control them and if we fail it's not because we're trying to hurt anyone."
