G shrugged noncommittally. He had yet to say anything about his own powers and he wasn't above a demonstration if necessary. Accidents happened, after all...except he was better than that and he knew it, sadly. The thought and unspoken implication would have to suffice.
"Extensive is one word for it." Deeks' power was, in G's opinion, the epitome of everything any criminal could want. The power to not only see inside someone's mind, but control what they did? It was also the very thing their opponents would not want them to have access to themselves. Not that any powers were safe to have, but some were more dangerous than others. Truth be told, G still wasn't sure he was comfortable with everyone knowing the extent of what Morgan could do, either. Nor were Deeks and Morgan the only two he worried about the sudden increase in how much of a target their powers would make them. "We've known he'd have to tell the rest of them something. Given the extent of what he can do, I'll be honest, I'm not sure what the safest option is that we can give them. Right now, a lot of them are considering how cool these powers are. But, the more astute or those more inclined to read comics and speculative fiction are going to figure out exactly what some of this means pretty quickly and trust among each other is going to become an issue if we don't handle this carefully."
He huffed irritably. "It's that balancing act. We need them to know something of what he can do so they can work together. We need to get Riggins and Kinney to share for the same reason, despite John's assurances Kinney won't bother to do anything but use his power to get the hell out if there's trouble. But, we also don't want to reveal so much information the knowledge becomes a detriment to getting them all to work together."
Even beyond the inherent risk to Deeks if information about what he could do fell into the wrong hands, it was going to be a natural inclination for the others to pull away if they knew just what he could do. It was the nature of humanity to want to keep their distance from the things that threatened their secrets. To himself, G could admit that if he didn't already know and trust Deeks as he did, he would have the same reaction. Only the knowledge that Deeks wasn't the sort of man to misuse that power intentionally kept him from closing off himself from the other man.
