Reid really was like a little kid, Emily thought. Not that he acted childishly, but despite what he'd been through in his life, he still had an innocence she envied sometimes. It came out in things like the way he toyed with her hand or his cheek on her shoulder with that quiet voice of his. Pulling back, she sat and listened while he told her about the headaches.
"I'm glad they're better. If they get worse, you'll tell me? Does Morgan know?" It might still be prudent to keep an eye on him and it would be easier to do if she didn't have to break confidences to get Morgan's help in the matter. She wouldn't treat Reid like a child. But, she'd keep worrying about him. Hard not to do that. Chuckling, she nodded. "Well, you're a genius, not perfect."
It took effort not to cringe at the 'sweet kid' he used to describe Alexis. She was really going to have to talk to that young woman and assess the need for any sort of damage control if Savannah's implications were correct. "You'll have to introduce me to each of them properly. I haven't spoken to many of the people here in depth, yet. It'll be nice to meet your new friends. Alexis is the girl you were having dinner with the other night, yes?"
