This was not how this was supposed to go, Mike had come over to see Harvey, to talk to him to find something easy and forget about everything for a little while - to just relax and breathe again in the way he only seemed to be able to with Harvey around. But that wasn't happening, his chest felt uncomfortably tight and Harvey was just telling him that he didn't want to talk to him, telling him to leave again.
It was harder to stay and be stubborn with Harvey actually looking at him instead of doing everything he could to look anywhere else. But Mike was pretty good at doing the opposite of what he'd been told from time to time.
"I don't care." He said, though it didn't hold the same note of confidence it had earlier when he'd told Harvey they needed to talk. "I want to talk to you, I need to talk to you and I'm not leaving until you talk to me, Harvey." He wanted things to go back to the way they had been, comfortable and easy and maybe a little confusing.
"Don't - don't just push me away, Harvey." Mike said, more quietly this time because he wasn't sure Harvey wouldn't just do it again. "Please."
