RP: Marty and Savannah
Who: Marty and Savannah
Where: Their home
When: Before work, September 9, 2011
Summary:

Savannah had found out about the bachelor party pretty much the day the email had been sent out. She couldn't be 100% sure, but Sheldon has been in such a panic about keeping a secret that she'd been able to get all the details she needed, before sending him home reassuring him that she didn't think for a moment that they were going to have a bachelor party with booze and strippers. That had helped calm him down.

Of course, since then she'd been waiting for someone to mention it, but there was nothing. Her shower had gone pretty smoothly and thankfully there were no strippers. However she could only stay silent for so long, and they were getting married tomorrow. She so was not having this discussion on their wedding day. Instead, she made breakfast for the two of them and served it. She sat down and picked up her cup of coffee, waiting until Marty started to drink, before smiling. "Did you have fun last night with the strippers last night?"

All in all the party the day before had gone well enough, even for the few of them that looked uncomfortable most of the night. And as far as Marty knew no one had mentioned strippers to Savannah, Sam had managed to put the fear of god into them, which Marty found to be pretty impressive, considering the sort of people they were dealing with, these days.

And with the bachelor party taken care of, they just had one more day before the wedding. It was more than a little hard to believe that they'd gotten to this point to be perfectly honest. It had felt so far off, and now there it was.

He was happy, and he was ready for this, he thought as he sipped at his coffee, just in time for Savannah to ask him about strippers. He really was lucky he didn't drown in it, that would have been embarrassing. He coughed setting the cup down rubbing a hand over his mouth, when he felt like he could breathe again. "Strippers?" Okay no lying about strippers was not the way he wanted to go into tomorrow, or even today to be perfectly honest. "Ah, yeah I mean, it was a good party."

Savannah took another sip and put the mug down. "Yes, strippers. Oh, I'm sorry, do they have other names if they work in bikini bars or if they come to a private party? Exotic dancers, maybe? Topless bunnies? I'm sure you can teach me all about the proper names," she said with a smile.

She raised an eyebrow. "How good was it? Because if you had sex with anyone, you should tell me now, because I will find out. I don't need treats or reading mind, just a smile and people tell me things, and if you did, I wouldn't exactly be happy about it, but I'd rather know before we get married. I'd be a lot more upset about lying, at least before we get married, after that, there's no having sex with other people."

"Strippers is usually the standard name for them." Marty told her shaking his head, reminding himself that at the moment jokes about the names people called strippers was not the way to deal with this, even if Savannah was smiling.

It was a good thing Mike hadn't chanced another drink because he would have choked all over again when Savannah asked if he'd had sex with anyone. "What? No, no there was no sex with anyone. Well maybe some people had sex, people who were not me I mean. I did not have sex with anyone, there has been no sex with other people since I got here." He reminded her carefully, reaching out to cover her hand with his own.

Savannah listened for a moment, and then nodded. "Okay." She pushed the cup away and she moved so she could sit on his lap. "You shouldn't have tried to keep it secret. You know nothing stays secret on this base, no matter how much G would like to think that you can."

She put her arm around his shoulder and kissed him. "I believe you, you know. I didn't really think you would go out and have sex. If I did, I would have said something before... actually, if I thought you'd cheat on me, we wouldn't be getting married, but sometimes I wonder why," she admitted with a shrug. "Everyone keeps talking about you and women, and you are a very good looking man, even if you're old," she said with a grin. "You could have have anyone."

Marty wrapped his arms around Savannah when she sat in his lap and huffed a short laugh, "Sam threatened to dismember anyone who said anything, I think he was probably including me in that count. He could make it look like an accident too." He told her, squeezing her gently.

At least she wasn't going around thinking he was just going to sleep around on her with a bunch of strippers, or anyone else for that matter. "You wonder why what?" Mart asked raising an eyebrow when she shrugged. "Hey," he shook his head, curling a finger under her chin. "I'm with you, in this, getting married to you tomorrow, because I don't want just anyone." He reminded her.

"You changed everything. I might have been that guy they all talked about before, but I'm not anymore, that's different." He told her shaking his head slowly, brushing her hair away from her face. "I might be old and good looking, but that doesn't change the fact that all I want is you."

Savannah rolled her eyes. "It most certainly didn't include you, and if he thought it did, then he's delusional, and you- when are you going to learn that I can be a lot worse than he is, and I have better resources. People like me."

She nodded. "I know, and we're doing it. Finally. I can't believe we managed to do everything. I can't believe we had to take classes," she said, giggling. "I'm going to grab everything I need tonight and stay at G's. You be nice with Penny, although with the mess she makes, maybe you can scare her a little."

Resting her head against his shoulder, she kissed his cheek. "You're very good looking, and tomorrow I'm getting the best birthday gift possible. You did get the rings, yes? And the tux? There were only two things you needed to do. Tell me you've one them."

"I'll do my best to remember that you're far more terrifying than Sam could ever be in the future." Marty assured Savannah seriously, placing a hand over his heart and everything. She really was after all, even if she didn't know it.

"Yeah well no one can say we didn't do our homework on this." He grinned, he never thought he'd have to take classes on marriage and his relationship, but there they were none the less.

He quirked an eyebrow at Savannah when she told him to be nice to Penny. "I am always nice to Penny, she loves me." He reminded her and then laughed. "So be nice to her, but scare her a little." He nodded, "I'll see what I can do about that, scare her as nicely as possible. I'm sure I can come up with something."

"Yeah, I've got the rings and the tux." He assured her, amused that she thought there was even a possibility that he could have forgotten either of them. There was so very little that he was responsible for with the wedding, he wasn't going to mess up the things he had needed to do. "Tomorrow is going to be perfect." He promised.

"Good, and when I get my hands on him, he'll know it too. Really, threatening people not to tell me? Did he really think that it was going to work?" The answer was obvious both on what he believed and what the truth was.

They had done their homework and everything was set, including where Penny would be for the next week. She breathed a little easier when he assured her that tux and rings were taken care of. "Of course, it's going to be perfect. I wouldn't accept anything else, and I don't care if it's not perfect for everyone else. They can get the wedding they like when they get married." She knew that her idea of a perfect wedding was completely different from all the women around, and possibly the men, too. Marty went along because he loved her. Tim might just be the only one who'd understand, though. "The honeymoon is going to be even better. We get sun and a beach for a week."

"Maybe we could just avoid talking to him about it." Marty suggested with a hopeful grin, because he was sure even if he didn't get dismembered and even if he was leaving for a week that Sam could certainly find a way to get him. "You know Sam, he likes threatening people, it makes him happy."

Marty grinned a nodded. "Well it doesn't matter if it's perfect for anyone else, this is our wedding." Savannah's wedding perhaps, but theirs and whether or not anyone else liked it or approved of it wasn't really the question. He wanted it to be perfect for Savannah. And like she said if anyone didn't like it they could do things differently when they got married.

"The honeymoon is going to be awesome." A break from all the rain, some sun a beach, even if it was on the wrong side of the country. It didn't matter because he'd be married and Savannah would be there. "A whole week just being Mr. and Mrs. Deeks, before we have to come back and be agents again." Sure it wasn't really something you left behind, but the thought was nice.

"Oh heck no. He's not getting away with this. I'll just wait until the wedding tomorrow, so he can't say anything, and he has to listen to me yell and rant and agree with me, because no one should upset the bride." She shook her head. "Really, with all those classes, you'd think you were paying attention to tactics."

She smiled back, although she hadn't had any doubt that Marty would go along with what she liked. "Yes, it's our wedding, and if anyone tries to create any problems for us, I will shoot them. I'm not even waiting for G. There will be no emergencies. Did I tell you that G gave me a .22 to put in the bouquet? And another gun under my dress, so the garter has to go on my left leg because I need my gun on the right, and Hetty made modifications so I can reach it without having to raise the dress."

Savannah couldn't wait to wait a week off. "You, me... Robert and Mike," she said laughing. "Exactly what a honeymoon should be."

Marty laughed when Savannah shook her head at him. "Yeah you'd think I would have learned something about when to confront my partner after he's threatened to kill me." He grinned though. "I'll leave the yelling to you because while there are rules about upsetting the bride I don't think they apply to the groom."

"Oh I believe it," Too much had gone into the planning and preparation for the wedding for Savannah to let anyone ruin it. Lord help anyone who tried to mess with Savannah's day. "A .22 for the bouquet? Is that what all the brides are doing this season?" He chuckled softly, not surprised in the slightest that Callen was making sure she was prepared. "So I'll need to remember the left side when we do the garter toss then?"

"Yes, exactly what everyone wants for their honeymoon. Their brother in law and his best friend." He chuckled, he didn't doubt that Robert and Renko were good choices and he saw the reasoning behind the two of them specifically. It was still going to be good though.

"He can't threaten you if you weren't the one to tell me, and I'm not telling you or him who told me, so there's nothing he can do," she said with a satisfied nod. "I'll be more than happy to yell... with a smile, because we don't want to upset the guests."

Savannah nodded. "Yes, it's all the rage. No one is ever going to walk down the aisle without a gun in her bouquet from now on, although I kind of feel weird to have so many guns in church. There'll be more guns than people."

She chuckled at his answer. "Best friend? Is that what they are?" she asked, curious, because she had a hard time reading Robert, especially lately. He looked a lot more friendlier than G, but he was even more closed off, because he'd learned to fend people off with social conventions.

"I think you underestimate Sam if you think he needs a reason to threaten me." Marty said with a short laugh. "But I won't ask who told you, so you don't have to worry about that." He could let Savannah do her threatening and yelling however she liked, he was pretty sure he'd have other things to worry about tomorrow.

He grinned. "I'm not surprised to hear you're on the forefront of the fashion trends." And nodded when she mentioned the guns. "That's one thing that comes along with this little family of ours - lots of guns, and love, can't forget that."

"You know I don't really know what they are," Marty admitted, Renko seemed to be at ease around everyone, and Robert - well Robert didn't really seem to spend much time with most people, so he wasn't really sure. "I'll let them worry about that though, I think you and I have much more important things to worry about."
