Re: Spencer and Mike
Well it looked like Mike couldn't say he absorbed knowledge like no one else people knew if anyone knew Reid. "Shit, twenty thousand words a minute?" He shook his head, more than a little baffled by that. Even with his ability to memorize anything he read he couldn't read quite that fast. It would be a little scary to take in knowledge that quickly. "I've read a lot of books too, not quite that fast - but memorized, completely." And he didn't have the degrees, maybe if he'd stayed in school, hadn't let Trevor talk him into the biggest mistake of his life he could have been more like Reid.
"Yeah, I think most people are like that." Ideas forming more solidly and sticking in place longer when you were able to talk them out. It helped, and honestly Reid was easy to talk to. Even if he was a awkward, Mike recognized a lot of himself in the other man, and it wasn't often he found something like that in another person.
Mike shook his head when Reid told him about showing up here, that really was trust if that was all it had taken for him. "We ended up with Brian telling us what had happened." He left out the part about Brian and Harvey making a date while he was still trying to wrap his mind around alternate dimensions and all of that. "Apparently drugged was the only explanation he could come up with, like people routinely share hallucinations while under the influence of hallucinogenics."
