Re: Spencer and Mike
"I guess we're different, I don't really do anything mindless," Spencer admitted with a little smile. He had no desire to turn his mind off, he enjoyed it too much. Way too much. "That sounds great, I'll go easy on you," Spencer said. He usually had to lose a few pieces here and there to make the game last but he hoped with Mike it might be a bit more of a challenge.
Mike seemed like him in a lot of ways and he knew that reading the research and doing his own had really calmed him. He couldn't imagine living here and not knowing as much as he could about ways to get home. "Okay, well when we get back we'll see if we can make that happen," Spencer said.
"Little deal, sure," Reid said, agreeing although he absolutely didn't believe it, not even a little bit. Things between the two men were obviously complicated, but judging purely by the way they looked at each other, it was mutual.
"It was a nice surprise, actually. My friends were supposed to be on a top secret case and then I arrive here and it was really good to see them again." Although good was probably the greatest understatement of all time.
