Re: Spencer and Mike
Mike nodded at the offer of chess. "Yeah, that'd be fun, do you have a board?" He asked, he could get one if not - he could own something other than his clothes, make a real attempt at having a life here instead of just being here. "I'll admit I play more video games than chess so I might be a little rusty, but I'll manage."
He couldn't help feeling doubtful about all of this research though, sure they had brilliant minds there trying to figure it out and get them back home, but what about the scientists that were here all ready. The people that had pulled them into this situation in the first place. Shouldn't they know how to fix this? Should they be the ones who were attempting to get them home? Mike seriously doubted that any of them had ever really spent time studying multiple dimensions before they'd ended up here so even with the reassurances it didn't go a long way toward convincing him. Still he had been encouraging Harvey to look on the bright side of all of this, he needed to do the same thing even when it looked hopeless.
"No," Mike said nodding carefully, and pointedly ignoring the way Reid looked at Harvey and then back at him. "Definitely no." He nodded again more for himself. "Yeah, a joke." It sounded lame even to him, but at the moment it was the best he had. "You know, coming to talk to you about it if things did get to be a big deal, because you're easy to talk to..." It would have been a bad joke on it's own, explaining jokes always made them worse though.
"You're here with some people too though right?" Mike asked shifting the focus from himself back to Reid. "Penelope and Morgan right?"
