Re: Spencer and Mike
Spencer couldn't help it, he built profiles on people naturally in his head. Morgan had warned him not to do it in an obvious way, but he couldn't actually turn it off. Reid could understand wanting to be appreciated, but it seemed like it was a little different with Mike, who seemed to crave positive reinforcement to feel validated. "It is nice."
Everyone here was learning to get along, even if they'd been hesitant at first. Because of the situation bonds would form that wouldn't under normal circumstances and it was kind of fascinating to watch people change and adapt and find their place. "We could play, if you ever wanted," Reid said, with a smile. It was always good to offer an activity along with the foundation of a friendship, he'd learned that having an excuse to spend time with someone made it easier to seek out company when you needed it.
"Yes," Reid said simply. "It's only a matter of time, the more people arrive the more skills we end up with," Spencer explained gently, knowing it was hard to just accept the reassurance without seeing it with your own two eyes.
As much as Reid wasn't very good with jokes, it was clear by Mike's response maybe it hadn't been a joke at all. "No or yeah?" Reid asked, arching his eyebrows as he glanced quickly between Harvey and Mike. "A joke," Spencer said, giving him a doubtful look, but he'd let him take the out.
