Re: Spencer and Mike
"People are rarely ever fair, I've stopped expecting that a long time ago." Mike huffed a short laugh and gave Reid a rueful smile. For all that he was a genius it didn't really count for much to most people. "Being right too, that helps."
So he'd been right about the card counting, and he grinned when Reid pulled a card seemingly from no where. "I used to do that, when I was a kid - I read a book," He said shrugging, stealing a card off the top of the deck where Reid had put it down, just turning it over in his hand for a moment. "I did the same tricks over and over again until everyone was sick of them." It had been cool at the time. "Wax on, wax off?" He asked, making the card disappear and then reappear.
"Okay point there," Mike agreed, because it was true for the most part. People always had somewhere they would prefer to be. "It's a little different when you start bringing cross dimensional travel into the mix though." He reminded him. "There are people I care about at home."
Mike shook his head. "It's not a big deal." He wasn't about to start telling a virtual stranger why having Harvey there made it complicated, he'd have to explain it to himself first, and Mike wasn't sure he was ready for that.
