Re: Spencer and Mike
Being a genius was natural but learning to get people to open up to him had actually taken work. He still didn’t quite have it perfected, but he was better at it than he had been ten years ago. “I’m not intimidating and non-threatening. Being thin makes me appear both weak and unskilled at physical combat, plus appearing youthful also makes it easier for certain people, mainly women, children and younger men to open up, where as older men are usually hesitant, superiority complex,” Reid said, like Mike might be at all interested in why people found it easy to talk to him.
Being fidgety made you look like you were hiding something and he tried to calm down the nervousness that compelled him to always be moving and fiddling. “I’d say let’s play, but I cheat,” he admitted with a little smile.
“Yes and no,” Spencer said, pausing to have another sip of his beer. “I think everyone misses aspects of their home, but others have begun relationships and thrown themselves so totally into their lives here that if you were to send them home they’d feel homesick for here, too.” Reid said, glancing around the men in the room, this was a bachelor party after all; clearly people were growing closer together.
“It’s easier, when you have someone, I’ve found from talking to people,” Spencer said, indicating Harvey with a nod.
